David Baird

Shropshire-born of Scottish and Welsh parents, David Baird knows Andalusia intimately after more than 30 years' residence. Before moving to Spain he worked on newpapers and magazines around the world. His words and photographs have been published in a variety of international media and he has contributed to numerous guidebooks. He currently has three titles in print with Santana and has twice won Spain's national award for foreign travel writers. He lives with his wife Thea, language teacher and compiler for Santana, in the Malaga village of Frigiliana, the affectionate focus of several of his books.
