This action-packed thriller by Des Wilson, well known in the UK as a journalist and political personality, drew the following accolades from the press when it was first published in the early ‘90s

“A confident, strenuous debut” by writer Des Wilson. (The Sunday Times)

“Its crooks-as-developers ingredient keeps the plot simmering nicely.” (The Guardian)

“If you’re flying off to the sun for your holidays, it’s an ideal read.” (Today)

Santana is delighted to re-publish the book as one of the big summer reads both in Spain and in the UK.

Set in the spectacular Andalusian countryside and the playgrounds of the Costa del Sol this rattling good yarn vividly depicts the multi-faceted life of the area and has a dramatic climax in the intoxicating atmosphere of Easter in Sevilla.

The author returned to the area to update all the places mentioned in the book. Some names - Marbella, Puerto Banus and Ronda - are, however, timeless and this romantic backdrop will offer a new generation of readers of Costa del Sol the same pleasure and excitement as the earlier one.

About the author

Des Wilson

New Zealander Des Wilson travelled to London in 1960 to develop a career in journalism and eventually became well-known in the UK as a politician and campaigner on social issues. He has been a columnist on The Guardian and The Observer and a contributor to a number of other respected newspapers and journals in addition to appearing frequently on radio and television. Besides affording Santana its first move into fiction with the above title which profits from his having lived for a while on the Costa del Sol, he has written a further novel called Campaign. Himself a seasoned "campaigner", he now lives in tranquil Cornwall.
