This is the true story - well, almost true - of Kaiser Otto, a posh, arrogant city cat from London, and his encounter with a bunch of loutish campo cats on his move to Spain.

The story-line is appealingly simple: it starts when some kittens invade his garden and ends with them all becoming friends.

Lovingly told, in words and pictures, by the hero himself this story will amuse readers and move them, wherever they may live and however old they may be. With a little assistance from Kaiser's "mum", first-time author and indefatigable cat lover, Annika Jonsson, Kaiser's world is brought wonderfully to life and cleverly explored.

It is the perfect book for kindred spirits - and, indeed, for those who don't profess to be but secretly are!

About the author

Annika Jonsson

Swedish-born Annika Jonsson is an art director and interior designer. After living for thirteen years in London, she and her husband moved to Spain and set up house, together with seven cats, in Mijas-Pueblo, also the spiritual home of Santana Books. Her fondness for cats has not only led to her first book but also to passionate involvement in local causes dedicated to the protection of animals. Both she and the cats have, to quote her own words, found a veritable "paradise on earth".
