About the author

Philip Pembroke

Londoner Philip Pembroke first became hooked on angling on the Iberian Peninsular in 1989 when he visited the Ebro river in Catalonia. Since then he has indulged his hobby in countless rivers, lakes and reservoirs across Spain as well as dipping into coastal waters. His enthusiasm for his hobby is contagious, as can be seen from his other books where looks at the angling scene in France and Portugal, and he contends that every time he drops his line in Spanish waters he finds something new and rewarding. He is currently to be found exploring the rivers of China!
